Tuesday (10/7)

Periods 1 and 2:

Today, we are going to start to look at how we can solve equations using the multiplication and division properties of equality. These are very similar to the addition and subtraction properties; we can use the INVERSE OPERATIONS to find x. For example, if we have 5x = 15, we simply DIVIDE both sides by 5 to solve for x. Think of our scale example. We still do the same thing to both sides of the equation!
HW: p. 74-77 #15-29 odd, p. 82-84 #10-30 even

Periods 5 and 6:

Today we are going to review the information from yesterday. I want to make sure we understand all four properties of equality. They are the backbone of most algebra from here on out. The HW will be a worksheet.
