Today was a "standard day" of math, with new concepts introduced and practiced, leading toward some guided practice for the hw.

Quiz tomorrow!
Today in Periods 1/2 we reviewed the week's materials in preparation for the quiz. An in-class assignment consisted of doing two pages from our NEW math workbooks. See me if you were absent today to earn credit. The homework is a study guide for the quiz.
In Periods 5/6 we continued our study of the classification of numbers. HW is page 242 #26-62.

Today's work and homework:
Periods 1 and 2 reviewed multiplying/dividing exponents and started working on negative/zero exponents. HW is p. 307 #14-44 even.
Periods 5 and 6 started to delve into the classifications of real numbers (rational and irrational). HW is p. 455 #12-50 even.

Back from a(n unexpectedly) long break...
Finally back in class after a Thanksgiving break that was enjoyable and jury duty that was not so much!
For any parents that had any confusion, there was no homework last week, due to our work on an in-class project. Yesterday, the substitute asked students (via my lesson plan) to work on an assignment to be turned in today.
